The Egyptian National Committee for Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (ENCBMB) was formed after perusal of the Presidential Decree No. 2617 of 1971 for the organization of National Academy of Science, and after the President of the Academy's decision No. 188 of 1972 on the terms of reference for national committees, and on the memorandum of the Vice President of the Academy of scientific and cultural relations. The current committee was effective in 6/6/2000 by the decision number 166 dated 2000.
